One cold, dark morning, Finn and his dog, Skip, were woken early by their alarm clock. The rest of the world was still fast asleep.
一个寒冷黑暗的早晨，芬恩和他的狗斯基普很早就被闹钟吵醒了。世界上的其他国家仍然在熟睡。
Finn yawned as he got dressed and packed up his things ready to go fishing. But Skip, with his eyes barely open, stretched and went back to sleep.
芬恩穿好衣服，收拾好东西准备去钓鱼时打了个哈欠。但是斯基普眼睛几乎睁不开，伸了个懒腰，又睡着了。It was so early that the sky was still dark and the moon and stars were shining brightly.
时间还早，天空依然漆黑一片，月亮和星星都闪闪发光。 Come on sleepy head! The fish won’t catch themselves!” Finn whispered quietly to Skip, as they crept through the empty streets toward the sea.
来吧，昏昏欲睡的头！鱼是抓不住自己的！”当他们穿过空旷的街道走向大海时，芬恩悄悄地低声叫着跳过。 but not a single fish tugged at the line. The ocean appeared to be empty as far as the eye could see. Suddenly, Skip spotted something bobbing in the waves…
但是没有一条鱼在拉钓丝。从眼睛所能看到的地方看，大海似乎是空的。突然，斯基普发现有东西在波浪中摆动。。。 After some time, Skip scrambled back into the boat, holding a ball he had rescued in his mouth. Litter flew everywhere as he shook himself dry.
